Ruby Bhatti, a consultant solicitor from Bradford, has attended one of the Queen’s Buckingham Palace garden parties.

Bhatti travelled to the Capital to be at the royal event with her husband after being invited by Dr Ingrid Roscoe, the Lord– Lieutenant for West Yorkshire.

Traditionally, the Queen’s Garden party is held to reward

and recognise public servants from all walks of life. Bhatti has over two decades of experience in the legal field, in addition to a long list of public and third sector responsibilities, and said that the party was a “once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Her other professional responsibilities include three positions as Chair of educational institutions, and one as Chair of a local medical centre.

Bhatti also has experience as a hospital manager for
the mental health department of the Bradford NHS Care Foundation and is a former chairperson of the Manningham Housing Association.

“It was a wonderful experience to be on the other side of Buckingham Palace. We felt honoured and very humbled to be invited to this event,” she said. Read more (page 21)
